My name is Rich Rogers and I live in Buena Vista, CO accompanied by a wonderful 3 year old female Border Collie/Golden Retriever. In 2019, I graduated from Avalanche Science Program(ASP) from Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, CO. In 2005, I obtained an Associates of Applied Science in Automotive Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Since moving from Pennsylvania to central Colorado in 2007, I have made learning and working in the outdoors a priority. Many of my learning opportunities have been through on-the-job training supplemented with formal training in focused topics. I have worked seasonally as AIARE instructor, Fly Fishing Guide, Full-time Ski Patroller, Whitewater Guide, Outfitter Logistics Coordinator, Sawyer and Trail Builder in the Sawatch Range and Upper Arkansas River Valley. I have chosen this path due to the locales it has taken me, flexibility, like-minded people I work with and mainly the enjoyment experienced while working outdoors. Enjoying the work that one dedicates their life to is a key factor that the outdoor industry has an advantage over many others.
